Supported picture book making programmes
We work with people to turn their ideas, lived experiences and expertise into lively and unique illustrated books.
It takes around 6 months and ends with a community book launch which the book maker co-leads with Rose. The bookmaker and the charity/organisation we partner with are gifted a pile of books each, and their book becomes part of The Telling Stories Press archive and digital library.
Does this sound like the sort of work which would benefit someone or a small group of people you work with?
Get in touch to chat through ways in which we can work together.

This programme has been fantastic, Rose is lovely and really inspires confidence in all of the participants in our ability and the importance of our stories. I've had the opportunity to interact with members of the community I would not have met otherwise.

How is this work funded?
There are main three ways, and some projects are funded in part by all three:
1) The Telling Stories Press CIC part-funds or fully funds this work through donations to the social enterprise, and through the book making services we provide to organisations.
2) We apply for funding opportunities in partnership with charities and organisations to work with particular people.
3) Sometimes, the charity of organisation who support the person we are working with will match-fund or fully-fund the work.
