Listening and Observing Story Making Processes

Sometimes a story for a book can be said out loud, and then written down, and that’s your book.

Other times though, stories aren’t told in words. Or sometimes stories appear through collaboration (getting passed through different brains), or through watching and listening to what people do or say and then presenting it back to them.

This might look like: inviting open-ended play with materials linked to a theme; live illustrating people having a conversation or exploring a new place; taking photographs and playing with the prints to add new meaning to what was captured.
